Lambertovo stejnoploché azimutální zobrazení 1:25 000 000 Stínovaný terén na mapě: L.S.Oreshina, L.Yu.Baeva, B.V.Krasnopevtseva, K.B. Shingareva; Moscow State University for Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK). Tvar Marsu byl nahrazen koulí o poloměru R=3393.4 km. Geometrickým podkladem je mapa Marsu 1:20 000 000, vydaná MIIGAiK v r. 1982. Obsah mapy je odvozen z map stínovaného reliéfu východní a západní polokoule a polárních oblastí Marsu, 1:15 000 000 (1985) a z publikace Mars, H. Wolf, Gotha 1984. Názvosloví na mapě je aktualizováno podle zdroje: Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature database. Výškové údaje jsou odvozeny z digitální mapy The Topography of Mars (NASA / MOLA Team). Barevné kódování geologických oblastí je odvozeno z Geologicko-morfologické mapy Marsu 1:50 000 000 (Atlas planet zemnoy gruppi i ih sputnikov (MIIGAiK, Moskva, 1992).

Shingareva; Moskovsko državno sveučilište za geodeziju i kartografiju (MIIGAiK). Oblik Marsa prikazan je sferom polumjera R=3393,4 km. Geometrijska osnova je temeljena na karti Mars Contourline Map (reljef prikazan izolinijama) 1:20 000 000 (koristio MIIGAiK,1982). Sadržaj kartete meljen je na Shaded Relief Map of Eastern, Western, and Polar regions of Mars, 1: 15 000 000 (1985) i izdanju Mars autora H. Wolf, Gotha 1984. Izvorni sadržaj karte ispravljen je i dopunjen dodatnim sadržajima koristeći se podacima iz Planetary Nomenclature Database. Podaci o visinama temeljeni su na digitalnoj inačici karte The Topography of Mars (NASA/MOLA Team). Odabir boja geoloških područja temelji se na Geologomorphologitseskaya Karta Marsa 1: 50 000 000 iz Atlas planet zemnoj grupi i ih sputnikov (MIIGAiK, Moskva, 1992.).
