The Phobos map (scale 1:75 000) is a supplement to the Phobos Atlas which was created at Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) in Extraterrestrial Laboratory (MExLab).
Phobos surface is shown using new digital elevation model and orthomosaic obtained at MExLab based on the renewed control point network (MIIGAiK, 2014). 3D control point network was created by means of joint processing of Phobos frame stereoimages with resolution from 4 to 100 m/pixel received by different missions Mars Express (165 SRC-channel images), Viking Orbiter (16 images), and Phobos-2 (10 images).

The map is based on the sphere with radius 11.1 km according to IAU recommendations, the equatorial parts of Phobos are shown in Mercator projection, circumpolar areas are shown in azimuthal stereographic projection.

Cartographers: Kokhanov A. A., Bulantsev O. E.
Editors: Karachevtseva I. P., Rodionova Zh. F.

The edition was carried out at MIIGAiK and supported by Russian Science Foundation, project № 14-22-00197.
