Moon — map
The 1958 edition includes the Physiographic division of the Moon that was published only in 1961. Background: ACIC.

1958 edition, printed in Japan
Approximate scale: 1:2,300,000
Projection — This map has been prepared on the Orthographic Projection, which permits portrayal of the Moon as a sphere, yielding the true perspective created by viewing from a great distance.
Orientation & Grid — Cardinal directions conform with mapping tradition, north to the top and east to the right, rather than astronomical convention. This orientation places the Moon in its true relationship to the Earth.
Photo-mosaic Base — This map is based on a mosaic photo compiled by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Service, U.S. Air Force, from photographs taken at Mt. Wilson, McDonald and Pic du Midi observatories.
